Juneteenth 2019, June 15th, Noon - 6PM
We are celebrating Juneteenth with Mosaic Templars Cultural Center on June 15. Come to 9th St for their annual block party between Broadway and Izard Streets. On our end of the block, we'll have performances in Doc's Pool Hall, Flyway Brewing will also be setting up a beer garden near by! We'll be running tours of our historic building at 2 PM and 4 PM.

3:00-3:30PM Lecture by Edmond Davis, “Unburied Truths; the Emancipation Proclamation”
Edmond Davis is a professor of history at Arkansas Baptist College. Prof. Davis will be giving a glimpse into his lecture series on “unburied truths.” The series focuses on the misinformation surrounding black history in the United States and the absence of certain historic events in our shared past as Americans.
3:30-4:00PM Music by Candice Owens; Candice E! Entertainment
Ms Owens is a multifaceted talent with several specialty genres. This Juneteenth, she’ll be showing us her skills in the R&B style but she also performs opera, gospel, & big band.

4:30-5:10PM Music by Pastor Napoleon Coakley and Prosperity
Pastor Coakley and Prosperity are Gospel Recording Artists. A family group, they have been singing together for 20 years. All for the love of singing God's praises. They have been on The Bobby Jones Gospel show 4 times on B.E.T, sung at The Gospel Music Workshop Of America held in Atlanta Georgia; won first place in the quartet division, and are getting ready to release their 3rd album entitled The Storm Blessed Me to debut at the 2020 New Artist Showcase for the Stella Award's.
5:15-6:00PM Music by Lando Devine
Orlando Mosley, artist name Lando Devine, has been rapping since he was 7-years-old. His inspiration comes from artist like Tupca, Biggie, Andre 3000, & Pimp C. However, Devine describes his sound as “all in one” and finds it difficult to compare his style to anything you might hear today. Dedicated to his craft, Devine has produced over 100 songs, many he claims, “defy the person of my becoming.”
