Join us on April 10th & April 17th, 2026 for a fun and informative night in Taborian Hall, the home of Dreamland Ballroom and Dreamland Lounge!

The Dreamland Lounge, located on the 1st floor of the building, will serve beer and wine behind its fabulous art deco bar from 5-10 PM! This bar will be donation-based, with all proceeds benefitting Friends of Dreamland.

All three floors of our building will be open, with the second floor featuring an incredible temporary art gallery, the Arkansas Festival Ballet costume collection, and pieces from our presenting local artist Betty Turner.

Mrs. Turner works in a variety of mediums, with the evenings featured pieces being plywood cutouts painstakingly adorned with a variety of materials. Each one telling a story from Mrs. Turner’s life or pop culture, all ripe with political and social commentary. Turner has provided original paintings as well and only brought a few cutouts from the collection of 20+ works that will be shown in Dreamland Ballroom later this May.

Executive Director Matthew McCoy will be hosting a guided tour beginning at 7 PM, going through the building’s history here on 9th St. The tour will go all over the building and generally takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour

Join us at this official kick off ceremony of studioMAIN’s “Pop-Up” demonstration project, Beyond the Divide. This project tells the history of this corridor, amplifies neighborhood residents’ stories, and builds support for permanent street improvements restoring the connectivity to communities south of I-630.
