August is shaping up to be a busy month for Dreamland! See our Upcoming Events page to see this month’s and future events in the ballroom.

Arkansas Festival Ballet's Season Reveal Party is Thursday, August 27th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Light hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and live excerpts from Pas de Quatre and Dido and Aeneas. Tickets at arkansasfestivalballet.org/tickets or call 501.786.0784.

Then, just two days later, on August 29th, the ballroom transforms for something we've never hosted before: ASID Product Runway 2026, The Vaudeville Extravaganza.

This is one of the more inventive events I've come across. Local interior designers and architecture professionals, all members of the American Society of Interior Designers, compete in a couture fashion competition where every garment is handmade from standard architectural finish materials like glass, tile, wallcovering, carpet, and wood. Each team works within a set budget and this year's theme, and the whole thing culminates in a runway show right here in the ballroom, judged for awards.

The evening runs from 6 to 10 PM with a Vaudeville Cocktail dress code. VIP doors open at 5:15 with a champagne toast at 5:30, general admission starts at 6, the runway show kicks off at 6:30, and things wind down with an afterparty featuring a DJ, hors d'oeuvres, and an open bar from 8:30 to 10.

General admission is $85, balcony box seats are $125, and a portion of the proceeds benefits studioMAIN, The Van, and Restore Hope.
