Dreamland Ballroom, 800 W. 9th Street, Little Rock

The Little Rock based preservation organization Quapaw Quarter Association is a long-time supporter of all things Dreamland Ballroom and downtown restoration. Among their many successful programs are their fun and informative Preservation Conversations.

Friends of Dreamland is hosting one of these events on Thursday, September 14th at 5:30 pm in the Dreamland Ballroom with Dr. David Montague and Paige Bowers, authors of Overnight Code: The Life of Raye Montague, the Woman Who Revolutionized Naval Engineering. The book is the "inspiring story of a groundbreaking African American female engineer who created the first computer-designed ship for the US Navy". Dr. Montague is also the son of the famed U.S. Navy's "Hidden Figure" Raye Montague.

These free tickets go quickly. Please reach out to qqa@quapaw.com if you find they are sold out and would like to attend. And be sure to visit the QQA website for more information about upcoming events including Preservation Conversations, 5H Club Events, Suppers, and more with the QQA.
